About this deal

After you have a finished drawing of a dinosaur to work with, you can fill in the colors and textures you want to use.

Pay attention to negative space. Sometimes when you’re learning to draw from reference illustrations or photographs, it’s easier to draw the negative space you see rather than the object itself. This can often give you a more realistic body form than if you tried to draw the dinosaur. For the head, use the rectangle as a guide but round the corners, add a bump above where the eye will be and leave a gap for the mouth. That’s exactly what we tried to do in this guide, and we’re confident that if you follow the steps and try your best you’ll have an amazing dinosaur drawing in no time!

For the other leg, add a rectangle and round the left edges. Also, draw two half ovals. Step 6 Those are little T. Rex arms! Along with a friendly look, you can also add some accessories like a cap or a pair of glasses as shown in the images, respectively. Almost every kid in the world goes through a dinosaur phase, when he or she eats, sleeps, and breathes dinosaurs. Sometimes this happens as young as age two or three, but usually it occurs around six or seven, when they are just starting to learn more about the world around them, and the history that it holds. For that reason, we think you could add some trees, leaves and other plants for this dinosaur to munch on. That would also allow you to use all sorts of bright and beautiful greens and other colors!
