Built-in subwoofer There's no need to reconfigure your living room to find space for your subwoofer.The Yamaha has two built-in subwoofers, which gives it a very dark sound profile, while the HT-S200F is a bit better-balanced and neutral. On the upside, it does perform a bit better in the bass range than the HT-S100F thanks to the integrated subwoofer inside the bar. It adds more depth to these new wafer thin smart tv’s and the sound fills our small cottage lounge adequately.

I have a Quad hifi set up in my main home, and whilst that is obviously better, the SF200 does not sound horrible in comparison (as I expected it to). Main problem, though, is that CONNECTION between the TV and the sound bar is EXTREMELY erratic and cumbersome. However, if you want to use your soundbar as a hub between devices, you may prefer the Sony because it has an HDMI Out port. Like most modern flat screen TV,s the sound quality from my new smart TV from the same manufacturer was somewhat disappointing and seriously need some help.Over its ARC connection, the Sony HT-S200F supports surround sound via the Dolby Digital sound format.
