About this deal

You’ll also find Troo Spoonful of Fibre (Pure Inulin Syrup), made with chicory root in store. This is a great healthy, vegan friendly alternative to honey and a low-sugar / low carb alternative to other syrups. You can add it to your porridge, spread it on your toast and even bake with it. With 65% fibre, a spoonful each day can really help to support your gut health*. Received the 6 jars, opened the first one and found that even using a 1/4 of my usual amount (the recommended dose) was upsetting my tummy. Stopped using the product. Wrote off the remaining 5 jars as a learning curve. With just six natural ingredients, BEAR have made it easier for parents to find a healthy cereal which is still delicious and fun for kids! Naturally high in fibre and calcium, Alphabites include 5 multigrains and no added sugar or salt. I bought this granola because of its incredibly low sugar content and its amazingly high fibre content. But a foodstuff should be nice to eat, I think, or at least tolerable. The granola had almost no taste or flavour at all, apart from a very faint aftertaste of TCP! I couldn't detect any cinnamon or any nuts. It was one of the strangest experiences, but I won't be repeating it, no matter what the health benefits. Cereal is becoming a go to breakfast option once again, with more of us opting for a traditional morning meal of granola or porridge even when we’re on the go. We’re also mindful of what goes into them, especially when it comes to our families.

After making her own homemade porridge with only natural ingredients and noticing how much better she felt after eating it Jacqueline Barleycorn started making her recipe for friends and family. Two years later The Great British Porridge Co. has a range of delicious 100% natural, gluten free porridges and have even featured on Dragons Den! The whole range is plant based and suitable for vegans and vegetarians, with each recipe developed to target a specific health benefit, diet or lifestyle. Following a gut friendly diet I was delighted to find troo syrup. Not only is it sugar free it’s healthy too! In preparation for a tasty and filling breakfast before a day of rambling through the fells of the Lake District, Luke and Tim would toast their own muesli at home. After deciding to try their hand at selling their homemade recipe at the local farmers market, they are now an award-winning company with a range of flavours, their muesli dream is a reality!During 2020 Lizi’s have proudly donated nearly 45,000 bags of muesli and granola to food banks, charities and NHS trusts. The easiest way to add prebiotic fibre to your diet. Just a spoonful a day is scientifically proven to bring lots of gut health benefits. Delicately sweet with no aftertaste – use as you would honey. This is one of the key ingredients in Troo Granola.

Each chunky oat bar is made with wholegrain oats, high in fibre and contains plant stanol ester which will help you lower cholesterol without compromising on taste. As seen on the BBC – Angela Rippon’s ‘How to Stay Young’ and Dr Michael Mosley’s ‘The Truth About Sleep’. As well as using only British oats, dates for sweetness and coconut for creaminess, the range is gluten free, dairy free and plant based, boasting all natural ingredients and no added sugars. Perfect for a range of dietary needs.

There are extensive studies showing how Chicory Root Fibre can aid gut health and help manage blood glucose levels. Other benefits include reducing visceral fat and helping aid sleep. Wanted to try Troo porridge because of the higher fibre content than my usual daily porridge. Was on offer in Sainsburys so thought I would give it a go. Bought chocolate and maca, takes 3mins which is longer than my 1min usual porridge. Well after waiting 3 mins I found the consistency lovely but the flavour didn't match up and in my honest opinion was pretty tasteless and bland. Next time I eat it, I will definitely add fruit or honey. A honey replacement you can use it in your morning cuppa, in a smoothie, in your water bottle, drizzled over porridge, on a crumpet or even in a stir fry. Or simply on its own. One of the easiest ways of getting fibre into your diet. 7g fibre per tablespoon, essential food for your gut bacteria.
