The AccuStrike Series was originally leaked online, with images of the AlphaHawk and series-specific darts showing up on September 15 and September 20, respectively. It was a bit harder than I thought to rank these Nerf blasters because they are all fun in their own way. I think choosing one will come down to the overall style or price you prefer. What is the Best Mega XL blaster? It’s not really advertised, but the blaster even has slam-fire! It’s not that much of an extra advantage, of course, given the long priming distance. You also lose a bit of power from things not being lined up perfectly yet (the cylinder is literally aligning as the dart fires). But it’s an extra that got included anyway! The Boomdozer averages 58fps with the Mega XL darts. Which sounds low, until you remember how massive they are! The fact that you’re shooting them that fast is impressive. Rate of fire is predictably slow, with the long priming action, but one dart per second is perfectly feasible. NERF MEGA XL BOOM DOZER BLASTER WITH XL 6-DART DRUM: The blaster has a rotating drum with 6-dart capacity and fires 1 dart at a time with pump-action priming Testing the range can depend on a lot of things but the average straight shooting range is 40-50 feet. However, if you angle the blaster up a bit, you can get about a 60-foot max range. Who Should Buy The Mega XL Boom Dozer The AccuStrike Series later was given a release under the N-Strike Mega series, with the Thunderhawk and the Mega AccuStrike Darts. It would also be released under the ULTRA series in 2021, with the AccuStrike ULTRA Dart, although there have so far been no dedicated ULTRA blasters released under the AccuStrike Series.

Even though XL Nerf guns have lower FPS, you have to consider the ammo size. To get more power and distance, Nerf would have to make the priming a bit stiffer. With a six-shot dart capacity, it also has the highest ammo capacity of the three. Each pump causes the drum cylinder to rotate and allows you to shoot one dart at a time. The Boom Dozer has a dart velocity of 5o FPS, which isn’t bad for the size of the ammo . You can compare the shooting speed to something like Nerf Jolt, which fires at the same power but with darts that are a third of the size. The Nerf Mega XL Big Rig is a large hand cannon style blaster that is currently the smallest of the series. Features

Nerf Mega blasters were introduced in 2013 and brought the then largest Nerf ammo, the Mega dart. While XL now may be bigger, they naturally don’t shoot as hard or far. In the Nerf Mega line, there are blasters that more compact and have a much great ammo capacity. Of course, oversized ammo requires an oversized blaster, and the Boomdozer takes care of that. It’s a large blaster – not just in size, but in design. Whereas Mega blasters often had large writing on them, this has an even larger logo “breaking” out of the shell. Aesthetic opinions will differ, but the design choice is both obvious and well executed. With the new Mega XL line, Nerf sees a true return to form. And the Boomdozer, as it turns out, is not only large and silly, but effective as well. It’s the most fun I’ve had with a Hasbro blaster all year, and I can’t think of a better way to launch a new blaster line.

The most notable thing about the Mega XL line, of course, is the giant blue dart. Whereas Mega darts are about 19mm in diameter, Mega XL jumps all the way to 30mm. It’s not quite Demolisher missile size, but it’s getting there! These darts weigh in at a shade a over six grams. Essentially, six times the mass of a normal dart. INCLUDES 6 NERF MEGA XL DARTS THAT WHISTLE AS THEY FLY: The Boom Dozer blaster comes with 6 Official Nerf Mega XL foam darts that make a whistling sound as they streak through the air The blaster features a six-dart cylinder, with a loading slot on each side. Loading the blaster is easy, with the cylinder being able to be turned by hand. Naturally, even the “barrel” at the front is oversized, just because Hasbro can. One issue with this gun is that the grip is a bit small, and people with larger hands might pinch or rub their hands when priming it. The grip is small enough that it also isn’t very comfortable to hold with just one hand. Who Should Buy The Mega XL Big Rig

Mega XL darts are significantly larger, and a Mega dart will fit snug inside one. This seems like a natural size step up as a standard Elite dart will fit tight inside a Mega dart. Nerf engineers spent two years designing the AccuStrike Series line, focusing on the new dart design and balancing blaster performance to allow for increased accuracy and stability. Still, is bigger actually better?

The Double Crusher launches its massive ammo at 50 FPS, but doesn’t have great range. The max range is about 50 feet when with an angle, and the average straight shot will go 25-40 feet. These comically large blasters are pretty well-blanced and lightweight even though they are bulky. Currently, they are all spring-powered primers with pretty smooth operation. Ammo
