About this deal

While you may still sleep easier at night knowing you’ve spent your money on a quality, eco-friendly product — and hats off to House of Marley for being one of few audio companies making this a priority — are the upgrades worth the extra dollars? It won’t change the face of music or knock the world off its axis, but Hell, Fire And Damnation is yet another damned fine addition.

Enjoy playing 33 1/3 or 45 RPM records while the belt-driven mechanism reduces vibration and motor noise - promising optimal audio performance. In addition to this, the lightweight aluminium headshell and tonearm work together to ensure the turntable’s tracking ability is next level. The cover and body are clad in REWIND fabric made of 40% recycled PET plastic, 30% reclaimed hemp, and 30% organic cotton (although I would prefer a traditional hinged plastic cover, personally). The Stir It Up Wireless Turntable is crafted with bamboo, REWIND™ Fabric, REGRIND™ Silicone and includes a recyclable aluminium platter. The bamboo plinth that forms much of the exterior is easy on the eyes, whose neutral color makes it easy to fit into any room's aesthetic. So I recently ripped it all out and replaced it with a sound bar, but I struggled about what to do for a turntable, since I really do enjoy vinyl. The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping, or may be in the original packaging but not sealed.

Though this is a manual deck the turntable does stop when the tone arm is but at rest and when the record has completed playing. Everything is handily packed in recycled, molded cardboard inserts that keep all the delicate parts protected. Like all house of Marley products, the new Stir It Up wireless turntable checks off a lot of boxes in terms of green cred. The turntable is no exception, and has an attractive bamboo plinth and a fabric cover in place of the usual Perspex (or similar) lid.The company focuses on using sustainable materials in its products; it’s a compelling feature, but one that comes at a premium. The instructions clearly describe how to slide the counterweight onto the back of the tonearm and then balance it for playback. On the downsides; the motor is a little noisy and there is a noticeable hum on quiet passages when using the USB into a PC for recordings and this doesn't have a dust cover.
